Wow how things can change just by crossing an imaginary line. You go from using a currency called the Baht to the Kip. I think that is such a cool name for a currency THE KIP.
And of course the most notable change was in the roads. I left the Thai super freeways behind, along with driving on the lefthand side. To now finding myself having to remember to drive on the right again. And there would no longer be any super 4 and 6 lane freeways. The road in the above picture only lasted 20km and then turned into what is found in the below video.
