Busy Busy in Bolivia

Sorry for the delay on blogs, but since I have returned to Bolivia it has been non stop busy. This I can thank to all the great friends I have made in Santa Cruz. I only planned on being here for a week but it is already going onto three weeks and it is going to be hard to leave.

Well Fred was finally finished being serviced at the shop. So what better way to break him in then another ride to the town of Samiapata.

A group of us headed out from the Triumph dealership for what was supposed to be a nice leisurely ride. But you can thank a little bit of rain for changing it into a full day adventure.

If you followed my blog in the past you may remember that the last time I went to Samiapata it took 12 hours and consisted of 4 blockades. One of which got way out of hand with stone throwing and the burning of the mountain side by the protesters.

Here is Eduardo the owner of the Triumph dealership showing us the proper way to ride off road.

And here he is showing us the not so proper way. Once again this is what a little rain can do. Turning a nice road into a slipper skating rink.

If you think you will never wipe out as an adventure rider, than you may just want to stay at home and sit on the couch. Because riding like this is just par for the course and makes for some great stories in the end.
