Cartagena, Colombia

Cartagena, Colombia is an amazing city and was quite unexpected in both it's size and diversity.

The city is made up of two parts which include the new city and harbour front. Where you will find modern high rises and people jogging along the water front. And the old colonial city in all its splendour lined with cafes and shops.

I really fell in love with this city, with the one exception of the stifling heat and humidity.

The old town has numerous plazas to sit back and people watch

The only other issue with the old city is it is a little more expensive since this is also a cruise ship port. And where there are tourist prices are always higher.
