Krakow Poland (Country #40)

Welcome to the city of Krakow with its old world charm. To date the centre square of the old city is the largest I have been to.

Krakow has all the charm that its capital Warsaw does not.

The old city is the place to stay and is lined with cafe's and shops. Even with its high tourist vibe it is a must see.

As usual not a church guy but do enjoy some of the architecture.

At one end of the old city the castle of Wawel can be found overlooking the river.

The castle grounds are enormous and gives you a great sense of the city that thrived within its walls.

After walking around all day me and a few friends came upon a beer pub that specializes in Pinball. They have 200 types of beers available and around 25 machines. So for $20 Szolty you can play for 2 hours while enjoying your favourite beverages.

One of the main reasons I wanted to visit Krakow was to go see the enamel factory of Oskar Schindler located within the old Jewish district.

Many may remember this factory from the movie Schindlers list.

Schindlers office.

The tour of the factory was a complete disappointment though. Instead of focusing on the story of Schindler and his helping and saving of many Jews. They turned the whole compound into a history museum on WW2 and the invasion of Poland.

And for this reason there are so few photos. I cannot recommend this as a must see attraction unless you are interested in WW2 and its effects on Poland.
